... An ostrich.

A vegetarian ostrich, if you must, but why do you care about their diet?

"Ostrich" as in "ostrich meat". Like "vegetarian turkey" == "tofurkey".

I'd also go for "not-strich."

"New, from Morningstar Farms... [info]parasailer: Now With 13% More Ostrich-Like Flavor!" I dunno, it doesn't really have that ring to it...

I vote Fauxstrich. It gets the meaning across while still maintaing an air of pretense and upper-crustiness, which is important because Ostrich is an upper crust delicacy. Tofurkey is an ok name because every trailer park has had turkey at some point....

I don't know which would be worse / more accurate, if you looked up "ratite" or if you just knew it.
